Charles Holloway

Charles HollowayCharles practised as a commercial litigator at Allen & Overy and Eversheds.

During his 25 years at Eversheds, mostly as a partner and including a period as Head of Litigation, Charles dealt with a variety of commercial litigation cases including construction, defendant personal injury and mediations/arbitrations. He was also notably involved in the field of public inquiries such as Harold Shipman and Bloody Sunday.

Following a period as a consultant to PwC’s forensic team based in London, he became a director of litigation support company Millnet until 2014 when he joined with others to form a new mediation and coaching practice, Consensum: see

As an accredited mediator, Charles has a wide experience of litigation and dispute resolution which he uses to advise clients on litigation strategy. In December 2015, he became an independent director of Kazakhstan Kagazy PLC.

Approachable and down to earth, Charles advises on business development, team management and motivation. He combines integrity with his wide business experience and a cost effective approach, together with a large dose of common sense. My recent interview for Allen & Overy’s Alumni publication, with friend and colleague Julian Roskill, gives an insight into my approach to mediation.
